The Cove Subdivision Lake Mary FL
The Cove is a gated community off of Old Lake Mary Road in Lake Mary FL. Most lots in The Cove are over size which makes them very desirable within Seminole County and Lake Mary. The community is located relatively close to 417 (5-7 minutes) however about 10-15 minutes to I-4 (depending on traffic). Local shopping, dining and schools are close by, however the major area mall (Seminole Town Center) and entertainment districts (Colonial Town Park and/or Historic Sanford) are a good 10-15 minute drive away. The Cove has a Lake Mary address, however due to its location North of Lake Mary Boulevard, the subdivision is zoned for Sanford schools.
Something that many buyers see as a major drawback is the fact that train tracks run very close to the community. However, as with so many other subdivisions that are located close to train tracks, this is something that only looks scary when you first look at the community. Most residents don’t even notice the train anymore. Obviously, also keep in mind that you are getting a home in this subdivision at a lower price than if the train wasn’t there and the community was located closer to major highways, dining and shopping. Remember, in real estate it is all about location!
The Cove subdivision has 131 homes and was built by Ryland Homes in the early 2000s. Current prices (2009/2010) in this subdivision range from the low 200s to low 400s.
