The Reserve at Lake Mary is a newer community (built in the early 2000s) of 143 homes, located right off of H.E. Thomas Boulevard (S.R. 46 A), bordering the neighboring town of Sanford.

Often criticized by new buyers who visit the community for the first time is the fact that power lines run through parts of the subdivision. Another downside is the fact that the community seems kind of “open” because it is accessible from two sides and not gated which can cause through traffic. That can also be an advantage for residents though since you can access 2 sides of Lake Mary without having to deal with major traffic.

Another huge benefit for active families is the fact that the Lake Mary Sports Complex is located right next to the community. From your home you can walk to Lake Mary Sports Complex where you can enjoy batting cages, ball fields, a skate park, a tot lot, basketball courts, soccer fields and tennis facilities. Also located here is the new Trailblazer Park, a fun playground and splash park for the young ones. Other than that the Reserve at Lake Mary is located conveniently to I-4 and 417 (about 5 minutes) and major shopping (Seminole Town Center and other shopping plazas), dining and entertainment (Colonial Town Park).

The homes in this subdivision are very spacious with mostly long driveways and oversize lots (a luxury in Lake Mary and the area) and many floor plans offer 6 full bedrooms. Engle Homes is known for its semi-custom construction style and many of the homes in the Reserve at Lake Mary reflect exactly that.

Despite its Lake Mary address, the community is zoned for Sanford schools. Seminole High was recently featured in Newsweek as one of “America’s Best High Schools” It offers the county’s IB and Health Academy Magnet programs.The middle school, Millenium Middle offers students the option of a pre-IB or Fine Arts magnet program.
